Ms. Tingle believes in the importance of incorporating families, friends, significant others, teachers and others in the community in her approach to assessment. She provides a friendly and encouraging atmosphere that promotes individuals' ability to do their best during testing and assessment sessions. Ms. Tingle is fascinated by the ways in which different assessment measures reveal the elements of an individual's learning style and inform educational and life strategies to help children, adolescents and adults attain success and improve their self-esteem and outlook on life. With a background assisting special education students in the public schools, Ms. Tingle recognizes the importance of comprehensive assessment of learning styles. In addition to assessment, Ms. Tingle believes strongly in the connection between mental and physical health and the importance each play in creating a balanced and productive life. Ms. Tingle strives to provide quality and customized assessment services under the direction of Dr. Samantha Scott.
Ms. Tingle received her Bachelor of Science degree in Behavioral Science from Wilmington University in Wilmington, Delaware in 2015. As an undergraduate, she focused her studies and research on child and adolescent behavioral issues. She went on to complete her graduate degree and completed her clinical internship in a private practice setting. After completing her Master’s degree, Ms. Tingle worked in Delaware with children and adolescents with a variety of emotional, academic, and behavioral difficulties. Ms. Tingle is currently working towards her PhD in psychology. Ms. Tingle is a Doctoral Psychology Intern supervised by Dr. Samantha Scott and Dr. Adeline Tryon. Ms. Tingle is a life-long learner, constantly bringing her educational and professional training back to the individuals with whom she works.
Ms. Tingle also has extensive training and experience in the Wicomico County School system where she worked directly with special education and emotionally disturbed students for four years. During this time, she worked to compile Individualized Education Programs, 504 Plans, and Behavior Intervention Plans alongside teachers, school guidance counselors, psychologists and other support staff.
Ms. Tingle is originally from Delaware and currently resides in Delmar, Maryland. When not in the office, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, doing yoga and going to the beach.
